Recent Project Assignments
EXAMPLE 1: TECHNOLOGY & SOFTWARE CLIENT – PROJECT DELIVERY
Role: FILPAX were engaged by a leading supplier of enterprise content management software to provide project management and technical support services for their biggest implementation in the UK.
During the course of this seven month assignment FILPAX assisted with client relationship management, commercial negotiation, functional design, subcontractor management, project planning and technical services relating to the establishment of the operating environment for the lead supplier in a UK government web services programme.
Outcome: The end customers’ website was successfully launched in January 2007 with a complete refresh of underlying technology. The content management solution implemented provides a stable and flexible platform for further additional functional enhancements and provides a solid stepping stone towards the implementation of the UK governments’ e-strategy.
EXAMPLE 2: FINANCIAL SERVICES CLIENT - WEB CONTENT MANAGEMENT
Role: FILPAX were engaged by the fund management arm of a leading insurer, to manage the implementation of a content management system to support multi-site content management. Throughout this six month engagement, FILPAX provided solution design, project leadership and supplier management services. This included internal budgetary control, third party supplier management, design, customisation, content migration and successful implementation.
Outcome: The client successfully deployed the solution for their public facing internet and partner extranet sites and realised significant gains in terms of both cost reduction and flexibility. Business risk was reduced by consolidating hosting providers on a single robust platform and through the de-commissioning of a legacy unsupported application. Positive productivity gains were immediately realised through being able to take advantage of features such as workflow and in-line editing direct from staff desktops.
The project was highly successful and has established a flexible framework for future expansion and service delivery via web channels.
The client was short listed for best use of business-to-business ecommerce in the Financial Sector Technology awards 2007.
EXAMPLE 3: FINANCIAL SERVICES CLIENT – SYSTEM SELECTION & BUSINESS PROCESS DESIGN
Role: FILPAX was engaged by the retail fund distribution arm of an overseas bank to assist with selection and design of a web based product distribution platform. During two separate engagements over 8 months The client was able to evaluate and select a system and complete detailed process design for a fund dealing platform.
